In order to showcase cultural diversity, rich heritage, glorious history and vast variety of flora & fauna, the government of India started a campaign for tourism in India by the name of Incredible India. This by all means is so true because India is incredibly beautiful with lot more to explore. Each region in India has something new and beautiful to offer. Having so many traditions, cultures and heritage creates diversity in the country removing the vibe of monotony as soon as one steps from border of one state / region into another state. One striking thing about India is that no two states have everything similar. This makes travellers curious about visiting more places. Though there are innumerable enchanting destinations in India making it a tough task to pinpoint most beautiful place to visit but there are some places in the country that are highly popular amongst the tourists. Three places that top the chart of Indian tourism are Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in North India. A tour to these three places together is called as the Golden Triangle Tour and is one of the most coveted India tours. The term ‘Golden Triangle’ is given to this tour specifically because these three places together on the map make a triangle mark in the direction of their travel route. These three places are distinctively different from one another - the traditions & heritage of all these places are unique, exotic and great. All these three places fall in different states of the country as well.

With many destinations as extension / additions, a large list of Golden Triangle Tour Packages, involving varied itineraries and durations, are on offer for a tourist. Golden Triangle with Mandawa Tour majorly involves four places - Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mandawa. Almost a week-long trip, the tour not only takes a visitor to the best historical destinations in north India but also explores the real rural landscape of Rajasthan, i.e., Mandawa. Golden Triangle with Mandawa Tour itinerary commences from New Delhi with Agra, Jaipur & Mandawa as the places of night halts. Also, this tour can be clubbed with other places to extend the trip.

Golden Triangle with Mandawa Tour begins with arrival at New Delhi, the capital city of India. Delhi, earlier known as Indraprastha and Dhhillika, has been a famous historical city. In recent history the Mughal and the British ruled over New Delhi for most parts during their reign. This is the reason there are major traces of their kingdom in the city. Another noteworthy fact is that most of the Mughal / Islamic monuments in Delhi were constructed by demolishing grand Hindu monuments. The major monuments of the city like the Red Fort, the Humayu’s tomb, Jantar Mantar, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, and Safdarjung Tomb are the monuments of Islamic character. These monuments, major touristy places of the city, are worth visiting. Other than these, Rashtrapati Bhawan, India Gate, Rajghat etc are some of the major tourist attractions to visit. Delhi’s blend of modern Indian lifestyle with the old culture has a striking difference and all these are worth exploring. Not to miss things in Delhi are the local food and the local shopping.

After sightseeing of Delhi, the next popular destination happens to be Agra, erstwhile Mughal capital. Agra is famous for a lot of things when it comes to tourism but the most popular of them is Taj Mahal, the epitome of love. It is also one of the top Seven Wonders of the World. It Mad-Ud- Daulah, a mausoleum built by Noor Jahan for her father, is another Mughal era monument with sumptuous use of marble and happened to be an inspiration for Taj Mahal. Other major places to explore in the city are Agra Fort, Salim Chisti’s Tomb, Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar’s tomb at Sikandara, Jodha Bai’s Palace, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid etc. All of these are living example of Mughal and Persian architecture that cannot be seen in any building of this era. People visit these places to feel how life would have been hundreds of years ago. The history and stories related to each corner of these places are fantastic to know. Agra is known for some authentic local dishes that are available throughout in the streets and also in up-market restaurants. More than anything, one returns with tonnes of stories, gorgeous pictures and incredible experiences from this city.

After Agra, the tour itinerary leads to Jaipur. On the way to Jaipur, visit Fatehpur Sikri. Right from the era of the majestic Mughal, the tour enters into the royal land of the Rajput. The Rajput kings have led a life of bravery, chivalry, honour, respect and valour. They had the most disciplined and lavish lifestyle and that can easily be noticed while visiting the palaces they lived in. Their palaces are examples of fine architecture and grandeur appearances. The palaces & forts of Jaipur and entire Rajasthan are very pretty, picturesque, and clean. The main tourist spots of the city are Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, Albert Hall Museum, Jal Mahal, Galtaji, Birla Temple, and Chokhi Dhani. The authentic Rajasthani food of Jaipur is something not to be missed because that authentic taste can be found nowhere.

Mandawa is one of the less known cities when it comes to comparing with the royal cities of Golden Triangle. But, the town in Shekhawati region of Rajasthan is worth visiting for its heritage and culture. The medieval era fort rises on the horizon like a mirage. From the terrace of the Castle Mandawa, the entire view of the place looks beautiful. Sikar, Nawalgarh, Dundlod, Laxmangarh, Mukundgarh, Mahansar, Chirawa, Khetri, and Bagar are other famous tourist destinations in this region. Mandawa world over is known for frescoed havelis and rural landscape. This is a quaint town like a hidden gem to explore.
